I've always preferred Sapporo to Kirin or Asahi. They have a few labels that I prefer over others but I really enjoy this beer with Japanese food, mostly because there's usually no other great beer to order.

Sapporo is also a good steward of beer and the brands they own. Unibroue hasn't changed since they purchased them and Anchor Brewing looks like they will thrive as a Sapporo brand.

They follow the rules and don't lobby against other breweries. I don't know if they go so far as to help lift smaller breweries therefore lifting everybody but they certainly do no harm.
