Letzte Woche hieß es mal wieder raus und bei dem Kunden arbeiten. Gesagt getan und natürlich mit der Bahn. Da gilt es immer etwas extra Zeit einzuplanen, denn die Deutsche Bahn kann neben dem schnellen Reise halt auch sehr gut “Verspätung”
Der Grund / The reason
Nunja, das ist eigentlich ganz einfach. Mit dem Auto ein paar hundert Kilometer durch Deutschland ist nicht immer Spaß. Ja, man ist deutlich flexibler aber die Autobahn ist in der Woche morgens wie auch Abends gern voll, es staut und außer telefonieren kann man nicht viel machen. Dazu kommt der Stress und das Benzin ist auch immer teuerer. Ganz ehrlich, ich bin zu faul dazu und setze mich lieber in den Zug und nehme die Verspätung in Kauf. Mit ein paar leckeren Bierchen lässt sich das gut ertragen. Die kleinen Supermärkte am Bahnhof haben das auch verstanden und erweitern Ihre Auswahl an leckerem Bier in den Shops.
Well, that's actually quite simple. Travelling a few hundred kilometres through Germany by car is not always fun. Yes, you are much more flexible, but the autobahn tends to be full in the weekday mornings and evenings, there are traffic jams and apart from making phone calls you can't do much. On top of that, there's the stress and petrol is always more expensive. Honestly, I'm too lazy to do that and prefer to sit on the train and put up with the delays. It's easy to bear with a few tasty beers. The small supermarkets at the station have also understood this and are expanding their selection of tasty beer in the shops.

Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof / Main Station
Klar das so etwas passieren musste. Kaum bummelt man über den Bahnhof Frankfurt, da wird einem von allen Seiten noch mehr lecker Bier pfeilgeboten. Wer kann da schon Nein sagen. Zack - war das leckere IPA bestellt - und sofort kam auch das Zisch.
Of course something like this had to happen. No sooner do you stroll through Frankfurt station than you are offered even more delicious beer from all sides. Who could say no to that? Zack - the delicious IPA was ordered - and the fizz came immediately.
Experten Tipp / Pro Advice
Schnell läuft der geneigte Bierliebhaber in die Schenke in der Markthalle Nahe des Ausgangs im Bahnhof und sieht - vermutlich genauso verdutzt wie der Autor dieser Zeilen. - den stolzen Preis von knapp 5€ für eine Kanne des geliebten Gerstensafts.
Nix da ihr Halsabschneider schreit die innere Stimme
Gedacht & Getan, schnell wieder raus und in dem Mini Supermarkt vor den Gleisen das identische Bierchen für weniger als die Hälfte gefangen. Klar, das dann gleich zwei gekauft wurden, denn wir haben ja gerade ordentlich gespart.
The inclined beer lover quickly runs into the pub in the market hall near the exit of the train station and sees - probably just as perplexed as the author of these lines. - the proud price of just under 5€ for a jug of the beloved barley juice.
No way, you cutthroats, cries the inner voice.
Thought & done, quickly out again and caught the identical beer for less than half price in the mini supermarket in front of the tracks. Of course, we bought two, because we had just saved a lot of money.

Entspannt mit dem Zug anreisen, ein Bier genießen und verdammt entspannt ankommen.
