After a Small Absence - North Carolina is Back in the House for #beeersaturday. I probably need to explain where the heck has been the past few #beersaturday nights.
Thanks to COVID-19 my business has, well to put it mildly, suffered. I guess that if I was so inclined I could build it back and yet at my age, I don't think I have the desire to do it.
I happen to be a workaholic where working 7 days a week had been the norm rather than the exception.
No worries, I always have several irons in the fire. While my business has suffered, I am making ends meet by trading gold and silver mining shares, something I have done for twenty years. Shout out for #silvergoldstackers!
Word of advice from an old dude who has seen much, ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS have several sources of income. You never know when a hobby just might keep the lights on and a roof over your head! (the food on the table is a bonus).
So several weeks ago, my dear wife, who fortunately has kept her job, declared she had to get out of the house! Saturday is now our adventure day! We hop in the car and get the heck out of Dodge and often head to the hills. It has been a nice change of pace BUT it has interfered with my strict posting schedule for #beersaturday.
Alright, enough of that personal crap and on to the fun stuff . . . . BEER!
Now pay attention because I have a question that I seek an answer for at the end of the post.
Love Em or Hate Em!
That is how I feel about an India Pale Ale. This week I am sharing with you Jade IPA brewed by the Foothills Brewery in Winston-Salem, NORTH CAROLINA.
My issue with an IPA is the HOPS! Too much and the dang things give me a headache!
So how did Foothills do with their IPA Love It of Hate IT!
LOVE IT! Fun fact: the name Jade comes from Jade Pacific Hops which are the hops used in this brew.
The things you can learn on the back of a beer bottle!
Why does the head stick to the side of the glass on an IPA?
Best answer gets a full upvote worth a penny!
OK then I had a weird experience on a walk in the woods, and I need to know if this has happened to any of you as well.
So my wife and I are walking in the deep woods on a #beersaturday when in a distance I spy something that can not be and yet is.
In the midst of nowhere the wood fairies have left me a special treat. A sign that everything shall always be perfect!
Dang! A cool beer out of nowhere!
Yea that is a quote from Benjamin Franklin a founding Father of America! 240 years later and still kicking ass!
So bonus round. Has this ever happened to you?
Happy #beersaturday!
