This is a story from the last century! On the day commemorating the "Pernambuco Revolution of 1817" on March 6, 2017, a landmark for the state where I was born and alive, Ekaut beer, which is a great artisan brewery in my city, held a great party in the history of Recife to commemorate this date.
The Pernambuco Revolution of 1817 was a cry from the population of Pernambuco dissatisfied with the high taxes paid to the Portuguese Empire, which ruled Brazil during the colonial period (1500) until the 17th century. With the revolution, Pernambuco during 45 days was an independent country of Brazil. 200 years have passed and this separatist desire is still very strong here.
On this special date, the Ekaut brewery, in addition to promoting this party with many cultural attractions, DJ, poetry declaimed by local poets with the theme about the revolution of 1817, has launched a special edition of its best known beer called: Ekaut Apa 1817. A beer that I would say, quite a lot "revolutionary." It tastes very light, fruity and bitter.
This was my participation after a long time on Beer Saturday, a Hive account@detlev initiative. I hope you enjoyed!
