As usual on Wednesday I was at my local pub music session in Arlesey. The have a variety of ales and one of my favourites is Greene King East Coast IPA. It's served cold and I find it refreshing. I was told by the landlord that he is on the last barrel as it's just not selling well. That's a shame. He just got a Budweiser pump, but I don't drink lager generally. It seems that is what some people want. At least he will still have the guest ales.
Despite the terrible weather there was a good turnout and we had a fun evening. Our local inventor who has brought along some home-made instruments before had something different this time. It's a little guitar made for kids and sold by Toys 'R' Us (who are shutting down). He got it at a car boot sale and it needed a lot of work to make it playable. Must have been hard on small fingers with a high action. It has a built-in speaker that makes a tinny noise, but it's fun. He has it in a higher tuning due to the short strings. I had a play on it and it's quite playable. Could make a good travel guitar if you can find one. Note his add-on to hold his lyric card.
I've just been working on a track that I hope to get some collaborators from the pub on. I'll be posting that when it's ready.
