It must be every straight guy's fantasy to get to take home a pair of pretty sisters. I would never do such a thing personally unless I was able to pick them up at the beer store.

I can't believe I have crested the 1200 mark of followers and I owe it all to . He is so big and famous, I bet he doesn't even detect these huge accolades. I am not here for accolades though. I am here only for the beer and the friends with whom to discuss said beer.
This week, I discover a couple pretty sisters from a brewery I had not really been attracted to in the past. Maybe a shorty and go-to booty call as well.
Shorty of the Week!
The recently-popular Shorty of the Week relates to one of my favourite beer drinkin' tactics: to have a few short 355ml cans in the fridge along with the tall/pint cans. That way, when you can use another beer but it is too late to crush a full pint, you can crush a shorty! Plus, they tend to be neat one-off brews for something special and different.
This week, the 6th man in the fridge comes to you from local Jobsite Brewery https://www.jobsitebrewing.ca/ I am a sucker for a Hazy IPA this last year and make sure to follow social media from my favourite breweries so that I can catch a one-off/experimental/limited-run batch, especially if it comes in short cans. Dovetail Hazy Pale Ale with Guava https://www.jobsitebrewing.ca/buybeer/light-duty-pale-ale-2anl8 had me at Mosaic and Citra hops and couldn't even shake me at Guava. Beer purists have no patience for fruit added to beer and I am a softie with an appreciation for a fruity beer if done well. Though I can think of at least 4 other fruits I would prefer over Guava, this beer is pretty solid. Different is good and so is modestly sweet and tangy beer.
Solid shorty.
Hello Ladies!
Lake of Bays Brewery https://lakeofbaysbrewing.ca/ is up in cottage country and I have never been head over heals for their beer. There have been a few neat and drinkable brews but I have been underwhelmed, clearly deluded by progressive flavours and sport-hopped beer.
Seeing as it has been a while since I last sampled their wares and these 2 pretty sisters were eyeing this #beerologist, It was past due time. Especially since there was a Juicy and Hazy options.
With Off The Grid https://store.lakeofbaysbrewing.ca/products/off-the-grid-473ml-single-can?_pos=1&_sid=d58355ec9&_ss=r had me so firmly at Hazy Pale Ale, I didn't even notice the 4.7 ABV. Upon closer inspection, I decided that is would be great as a first gaming beer, where you often sit down and hastily drink your first ThirstBeer. It is a thing.
I figured I knew what I was getting into with a citrussy session ale with a low ABV. I had never heard of Sabro hops and was eager to give this a try in hopes of discovering a new summer sports beer. I was greeted with a good full taste which surprisingly evolved into a full earthy experience, akin to a standard IPA. Wow!
Upon closer examination of the second pane, which boasts some great ingredient detail, I discovered my favourite Mosaic hop, along with Azacca which is such a powerful dry finish hop. Damn Straight! Well done!
Juicy Lucy
Foghorn Juicy IPA https://lakeofbaysbrewing.ca/beer/juicyipa/ was up next and I was curious as to what sort of a fight the tougher sister would put up. The label would suggest louder and more psychedelic and the website actually makes no mention of the Foghorn title. Strange indeed.
The second panel is equally as well-put-together as her younger sister and includes juicy, intense, tropical, haze, pineapple, bitterness, mosaic and bold which might be the perfect combination to suit my taste. It poured rather unimpressively with not much air in the beer and I was prepared to be unimpressed again.
This turned out to be a very well done brew! Easily the best I have ever had from Lake of Bays.
I would buy this again! I have to give it a fair shake against the regular champions in my fridge. You may see this one again.
IPA Abduction
I have to throw in a third full-size beer review and pack the maximum suddsy value for my legions of followers from across th3e globe. My knockout punch comes from Cameron's Brewery https://cameronsbrewing.com/beers/ which I have enjoyed tasting and reviewing in the past. I love that it is a veteran in the Craft Beer industry, has produced a few fantastic IPAs in the past, and delivered a great experience to me in the form of a nice delivery of glassware and IPA. A solid brewery all around so you know I am going to snap up one of their newest IPAs
Cruising Through the Galaxy is already my jam with hint of Galaxy Hops and the classification of Hazy IPA. Then you see they added Mosaic as well and sweet description and figure this may be another home run. There is a lot to this beer despite the wheat and deceivingly smooth texture from the oats. Holy shit I have a new favourite Cameron's IPA?!?
#BEERSaturday!
Thanks again for this wonderful #hive #beer gift by
It is week 189 of #beersaturday and I have large enough a problem I can only recall missing 3 of those. @Detlev is back on his game and is holding up surprisingly well considering how long a drinking session we have had. Long enough to have originated on an entirely separate blockchain!
I invite a friend to the party every week and this week it is who is a new friend who shoots some great candid shots from exotic Indonesia.
Cheers DOODS!
