It came with a bit of a delay but I guess that with 2 months of Airdrop (or rainfall in this case) to go it was still worth setting up the BEOS account.
BEOS is the linking chain between EOS and Bitshares. Both are products developped by Dan Larimer, the same man that was behind our own Steem blockchain that launched a little over 3 years ago. All 3 projects are top coins and now Beos is here to link two of them.
The goal is to be able to move tokens from one chain to the other with smooth token portability and the ability to be able to adapt to different jurisdictions. It does these functions without requiring any modifications to or cooperation from either BitShares or EOS communities, neither of which are involved in its development.
BEOS tokens serve the same functions as the EOS token on the EOS main chain - giving holders voting and access privileges to network resources.
With over 2 months left on the counter I did miss 16 days of rainfall but I guess I can hopefully make up for it.
Yesterday I followed the instructions on the tutorial video made by and it is really a nice step by step thing to do
but I still managed to mess it up. I was able to send BTS to my BEOS account before it was even created.
But the nice admins were able to recover it and sent it back to my BTS account.
In the mean time I have been able to send it correctly and my BTS is merrily staking away

The only thing that needs to happen now is that in the end the BEOS are worth more then the 500 BTS I put in to create the account.
Is anyone else standing in the rain with their bucket trying to catch the drops??
If so let me know and if not... what are your thoughts on the project?
