As a photographer on Steemit I've often found myself looking through my shoot archives to find good content I think the folks of Steemit might like. In doing so I've stumbled across so many shoots that for one reason or another had slipped my mind. It's not that I forgot about them, more that they might have been shot for a particular purpose or that I got great use from them at the time so have had no reason to look back at them in a while. Basically Steemit is helping me rediscover some hidden gems in my portfolio.
This is prime example. An online publication I used to shoot for were producing a superhero themed calendar for charity and asked if I'd shoot one of the months. The brief was pretty simple, 5 models all dressed up in a superhero styled outfits and some epic lighting. That sounded good to me, so this what we got. It was a really fun shoot and all the girls looked amazing. I think the patrons of the rock bar we used in Dublin were quite happy to see them too, of course it was only right we stayed for a few drinks afterwards. Its thirsty work sometimes!
I know I could have gone through my shoot archives at any stage, even without Steemit. I'm just not sure I would have, so thank you Steemit for helping me rediscover some shots I love, and reliving some great memories.
Have any of you discovered any unexpected side effects from posting on Steemit?
