The Spirit of the Birds of the field for my Bescouted collection.

This piece was inspired by a contest and fits into my new series of figures of Spirit and Myth. The original contest was held by Hive account@sethlinson and I was happy to use the guidelines of Nature as a means to create something that also fits into my current story-line with my work.

I am truly loving using Steemit contests weekly to hone my time line and continue to add to my body of Fine Art works. I have found that choosing two a week allows me time to plan, sketch, do a watercolour study, and forces me to finish the piece to almost it's final look within that week. It is a wonderful boon, as it gives me a strict timeline and also allows me to share my process with other artists and art lovers on Steemit.
