God doesn't promise instant answers to our prayers. In our microwave/instant society, patience is a challenge for almost all of us. God's timing is perfect, if it takes a while to get an answer to prayer, pay attention to what's going on in your life between the time you pray and the time you get an answer. Chances are good that God is doing some interesting work through/with you during that time :)
