I am a resident manager at a Christian transitional housing program. I have been clean from heroin for 17 months after about 30 years of active addiction in one form or another. I attend community college, have been on the presidents list for the last 3 semesters, and was just invited to join the honor society.
None of this would be possible without Christ's saving grace!!
The ministry I work at allows me to live here for free in return for the work I do, which includes the daily management of 16 men in various stages of recovery. This allows me to attend school and work on rebuilding my life with the little $500 check I get every month. I am new to this Steemit site and am trying to get followers who are interested in hearing my story and what I have experienced in life. Sometimes I will just talk abut ideas I have or thinking I do but I promise it will be interesting!
