The green peacock or the Latin Pavo muticus is a bird derived from three peacock species. Like the other birds found in the Phasianidae tribe, the green peacock brings beautiful feathers. The feathers are golden green. The female bird is smaller than the male bird.
The feathers are less shiny, grayish green and without the feathery tail cover.
Adult male birds are very large, length can reach 300 cm, along with a very long tail cover. Above his head was crested upright. The green peacock is present in the islands of Java and its status is protected by law as a rare animal.
