Birds are always some special animals for photography because on one hand it is difficult to get good pictures of birds that don't come to a birdhouse or are not as common as others but on the other hand if you know where to spot them some are pretty easy to find. You just need to wait near the nest and as soon as the bird flies by or sits down on a branch nearby push the shutter button.
I have the luck that i already know several places where i can take nice pictures of birds, may it be in the garden of my parents, in the nearby forrest, near wetlands in the danube region or at Lake Neusiedler in eastern Austria. But also taking some pictures at the birdhouse when feeding them in early spring and autumn is always pretty interesting because you know exactly where the birds will land and depending on the time of the day you nearly have the guarantee that you'll get some nice pictures.
