In summer the male common blackbird is visiting my garden from time to time and looking for rain worms and other insects that hide in the grass. Since my garden has a lot of natural elements like parts that I don't mow and some parts with sand. Birds like it very much since they can find insects there and can also use the sand as a repellent for parasites. The common blackbirds like to search for worms in the grass and I already observed it several times that they found a big worm and flew away. Unfortunately the neighbor has a cat so I am still a bit in two minds about preparing a feeder and some water for the birds. I have to find a nice model that is catproof and save for them.
