In winter I was able to take some pictures of the blackbirds that live in the forest near the cemetery here in Linz. While I was waiting for some squirrels to show up I also took several pictures of birds that can be found there. One of these birds is the blackbird. I had the luck that some of the blackbirds there where looking for food in the undergrowth.

Although blackbirds are very common birds, I love to meet them, especially when they start singing. Their song can be so beautiful, and I can listen to it for hours. I already took several pictures and also some videos of this bird. The male blackbird has very nice black colored feathers, while the female is more brown. Blackbirds live in the undergrowth and they jump around a lot, yes they can also fly very well but most of the time you will encounter them jumping on the ground and look for food there.
