The European greenfinch, or just greenfinch (Chloris chloris)
Last week these funny bright birds returned to us.
Yes, in some regions these birds are wintering, where there is a warm winter. And in Siberia they appear in the spring, when the snow is already melting quickly. I don’t know what is wrong with them, but when they fly to us they become very shy, and do not allow themselves to be photographed. It’s also difficult to deceive them.
Their alternative, obsolete name is - "forest canary". So they were nicknamed for their wonderful melodic trills.
