Birthday Trip to Laughlin, NV
This year I turned 34 (which now officially makes me 4 years older than my husband again 😫).
My mother moved out here to Laughlin, NV late last year after her house in Palm Springs was on the market for only a month before it sold. Since she's been out here, my husband and I have visited about 3 times.
The drive out is a long one, around 3.5 hours, through the Sonora and Mojave deserts. With last year's monsoon season being exceptionally wet, we have what's called a super bloom going on. To see the desert full of purple, yellow and white flowers is quite a sight! The slightly more green than normal hill and mountain sides remind me of some much wetter place, like Ireland. What an awesome birthday present from nature!
While here, my mom wanted to go check out a local Native American site, Spirit Moutian.
Here you can find many Native American pictographs on the rocks.
We ended up staying close to an hour, and would have explored more of we had remember to bring water with us!
All in all, a great day with great people!
Have a wonderful day!
