The last few weeks trading crypto have been the most exciting ever for me, especially trading Bitcoin stocks on the on the stock markets.
Last week we saw Bitcoin the most volatile ever, they started the week sky high at $20,000 only to drop 50% by the end of the week!
It is not every day that you get a 50% off sale on your Bitcoin, luckily I had the cash so I decided to stock up on my Bitcoin Investment Trust stock (GBTC).
All in all i ended up getting about 3.5 BTC on the stock market last week, and ironically this morning when I logged in too check them out I was up over one whole Bitcoin in profit! Everything was going so great I decided to put in an order to get 1 more, but there were not enough sellers today for me to get it, maybe I will have better luck tomorrow??
For me after taking profit on GBTC a few posts ago it was pretty scary because at first it did not stop going up after I sold and I thought I might have lost my GBTC forever! Luckily I kept a cool head and when I saw the price drop back down lower than I sold it I was thinking, boy are my steemit followers are going to love this if I buy it back, so I started! As GBTC started to come back from the 50% dip I realized this was what I was waiting for! For me to get my GBTC shares back was the best! Check out the chart below with the $44,000 price target highlighted in green. I am rounding this up to $50,000 for good measure!
Picking up all kinds of Cryptocurrency!
So what am I buying. Well thanks to a good friend I found a work around and now have some limited access to Coinbase, and it is nice. I was waiting to buy Bitcoin Cash (BCH & BCC) when my funds first cleared, but Coinbase had BCH halted so I went with some Ether (ETH). Since it is a new account they are making me wait a week or more for my coins, when I finally got some Bitcoin Cash they said it would not be available for 12 days, but that is ok I am not in a rush.
Last week I also wired some funds to Bitstamp, and it was fast and quick to get my Bitcoin Cash . the wire transfer was available overnight, I would recommend wire transfers if you need the funds fast to use Bitstamp. I am going to both use wiring to Bitstamp in addition to buying from a bank account on Coinbase because of my $5000 weekly limit, which is not always enough.
This week I picked up a slew of old coins and new cons.
I bought some more XRP, XLM, BURST because I see these as pretty stable. The two new cryptocurrencies I picked up are Tron (TRX) & Verge (XVG). I don’t know a lot about these coins, but I am always on the lookout for cheap new coins that might make it big. I did however get a little Mcaffe whiplash trolling through twitter feeds and instagram posts.
I really don’t like Mcaffe after watching a series about him on T.V. so when he comes out and says buy this or that I woul do the opposite. In this case it was a coincidence, I did not know these coins were linked in any way to Mcaffe, but I am going to stick with them until no later than December 2019. One of the coins TRX looks really promising at around 3 cents.
I picked up about 5000, however when I was doing my research I saw an article about billions of coins becoming unlocked by the company in 2020, so I am assuming they are going to pump TRX until then so the comp can get out as much money as possible when their coins come online, and I want to sell right before all them. I imagine there will be a big spike around a month before, that is the spike to get off the TRX gravy train!
As for Verge it is an old coin from 2014 and the desktop wallet does not even work for me yet.
It stops syncing, you know the deal, but I still invested because everybody is doing it, and the price is right. I picked up some in the 20 cent area and it dipped bad after Mcaffe tweeted something about it, so i doubled down at 15 cents, the 50% buy area and now have 5000 XVG! I am kinda excited because I pulled a fibonacci chart and it says the price target on XVG is now 0.00002400 BTC , or around 40 cents!
Waiting for my Ledger Nanos to come in to store them!
