How did you find bitcoin? Do you recall? I do. Very clearly. Clash of Clans. LOL, I have kids.
Although not an ordinary gamer (what Dad has the time?) I did enjoy playing Clash and chatting with my kiddos and their friends while plotting the destruction of the next opposing clan. To make a long story short, I went down the rabbit hole of the game. I found myself with 2 accounts and was going to 'claim' the alternate account one of my sons did not use in order to provide myself a specific troop level which his account had obtained. But, while learning about the next 3 star attack method I wanted to try from youtube, I discovered a part of the gaming world I had not yet come to know. I learned, I could "buy" a game account developed to a greater level from a game trade site for around $100 bucks. So how did this work I asked myself. How does one 'give away the keys' to an account and receive money? I'll save any readers from the boring details, but in this gamer world I discovered a very curious payment method called none other than Bitcoin. WTH is a bitcoin? Well, now I know. And I know well.
In the coming days, I'll continue to chronicle my 1 year crypto journey up to my present status - A fully invested crypto enthusiast, husband, father of 3, with bills to pay. I'll share my biggest blunders, my successes (few) and give the 'Average Bitcoin Joe' take on the happenings in the crypto world around us. Although I'm not writing for crypto noobs, I'll often stop to explain terms and experiences that I had trouble adopting and always shoot straight! Hope to make a few good reads and find just as many in the brave new decentralized world. (As well as honing in my steemit skills)
