The masternode setup process for Midas is quite simple, as they have an all-in-one script which sets up the system, creates any configuration files, and downloads the packages.
There's really only 2 steps.
wget -N https://raw.githubusercontent.com/zoldur/Midas/master/midas_install.sh
bash midas_install.sh
That's it!
Press enter when asked for a private key and it will generate one.
You'll see a summary screen like this once the installation is complete:
This installer is full featured and adds midas to the system control
Start: systemctl start Midas.service
Stop: systemctl stop Midas.service
Status: systemctl status Midas.service
In addition, it installs the midas software in /usr/local/bin/
A command to check your masternode status is:
midas-cli masternode status
This status command will confirm if the node is online.
Another useful command to test the node is:
midas-cli getblockcount
This getblockcount command will show you if your node is synced.
The wallet is a pleasant experience to use:
The interface is very professional, clean and elegant.
This continues all throughout the rest of the interface:
Send coins to another address. Coin control can be enabled in the Options menu under Settings.
Request a payment from an address. Generates a link and QR code.
View all your past transactions.
The professional elegance continues even to their obfuscated transactions.
Sadly empty. You can help that. See below!
The Midas Discord is how you can get started with their shared masternode service. The nodes are already set up and running so there's no waiting.
Here is an example of how they handle things:
The form is quite simple, asking for your email address, discord name, and the transaction info necessary to trace the transaction. They also offer a reinvestment option, as well as a private masternode service.
Thank you for reading this!
I hope you found it useful and informative.
