Indian government is more interested to trace source of funds in crypto as it is completely digital make more complications to trace the source of funds.
It is speculated as black money or money laundering involved in crypto.
But at the same time Indian government is also aware lots of genuine users are also trading in Crypto so they should not effected because of RBI ban.
Indian government is planning to treat crypto as commodity and will impose taxes on trading of crypto.
Lets hope for the good result on 20th Jul in favour of crypto.
