Former AML program Manager at Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, and Salomon Brothers, Jeff Horowitz, served as Director of regulatory compliance at the us-based Coinbase.
In the past, Horowitz was responsible for the regulation of banks in the Federal Corporation on insurance of deposits (FDIC), and was also a member of the Advisory group on legislation of banking secrecy in the Network on struggle against financial crimes of the USA (FinCEN). In addition, Horowitz was a member of the compliance Advisory Committee of the financial institutions regulatory Agency (FINRA).
In the last three years, Horowitz served as chief Executive officer for regulatory compliance at Pershing LLC.
Earlier, Coinbase announced its intention to become a regulated broker-dealer and purchase of the California company Keystone Capital.
We add that the company tether Ltd has established a similar position, which was occupied by the former head of the anti-money laundering Department of the Bank of Montreal Leonardo Ryl.
