The Gustuff virus potentially threatens 32 mobile applications for storing cryptocurrencies and 100 largest banks, group-IB reported. According to experts, the Android Trojan was developed by a Russian hacker. The malware has the function of embedding in mobile banking applications and crypto-wallets, it can also be embedded in Skype, WhatsApp, Gett Taxi and PayPal.
Users of mobile applications of such banks as Bank of America, Bank of Scotland, J. P. Morgan, Wells Fargo, Capital One, TD Bank and PNC Bank are now in the greatest risk zone. The virus can also attack Bitcoin Wallet, BitPay, Cryptopay and Coinbase wallets.
