So, in the meanwhile the Dutch court declared Bitcoin as 'legitimate transferrable value'. Good news! I'm proud of this tiny country ;-)
The court ruled in favour of a plaintiff who was owed 0.591 BTC, according to a court document published March 20 (in Dutch).
It seems that we're taking small steps towards regulation/legislation here. Although at the G20 nothing concrete was said...
I am curious how this will set a precedent for future cases and the recognition of Bitcoin and crypto in general as a currency or a separate asset class.
