That's pretty funny... the one I mostly hear isn't really a fear so much as just a comment: "Yeah, I've heard of Bitcoins... but that's just a thing for deep nerds and gamers who spend too much time on reddit."

My only real "bitcoin fear" has been the fact that it is "small" enough that someone with the wealth of (for example) the Koch bros. could come in and pretty much systematically "take ownership" and ruin it for everyone.
