An evangelical church in Zurich announced they will start accepting donations in Bitcoin. A spokesperson of the ICF Zurich church (one of the biggest in the country, it seems), Nicolas Legler, declared to a local news agency:
Digital currencies and the blockchain technology will change our daily lives more and more in the next years.
Apparently, the church audience is mainly young, so they turned to this new value storage in order to keep their community together.
Also in Switzerland, in the city of Chiasso, if I'm not wrong, you can even pay your tax in Bitcoin.
But you know a currency is really mainstream not when you pay tax with it, but when you can safely offert it to your own version of God.
And God accepts it.
