Who doesn't invest in Bitcoin? ( me, unfortunately :-( ). I haven't designed 3D perfume bottles for a while, so yesterday I was in a mood to make a Bitcoin perfume bottle. This bottle is unfortunately not possible to print out in 3D because it exists of many parts. The bottle itself is from glass and the rest from silver metal and a piece of leather.
When I 3D design things, I like to create that elegant, luxurious look. I hope you also agree that this bottle looks elegant and luxurious. I made this animation in Fusion 360 software. If you like to learn how to design in 3D and make this animation, you can download Fusion 360 for free.
The bottle has an interesting pattern at the front. I created this pattern. I think it is a mix between water drops and leopard spots.
I wanted to have the same pattern also at the back of the bottle but decided to do it differently. The back is also from silver (metal) and it has BITCOIN as text engraved. It is engraved till the glass. So you see the glass through the Bitcoin letters.
You also see the Bitcoin logo at the top, the perfume atomiser.
I did not forget about the cap. The cap has the shape of the pattern that I created for the glass bottle. The so-called water drop/leopard spots pattern. In the centre, again the Bitcoin logo. For an extra little detail I added a piece of black leather.
Tutorial in Fusion 360
First I inserted an image, the Bitcoin logo into my sketch. Then I traced the logo using Spline, that you can find when you click Sketch.
Then I extruded the logo with 3 mm and fillet the edges with 0.4 mm. I couldn't go further than 0.4 mm. It wasn't allowing me.
Here I created the pattern randomly. I didn't forget the pattern between the logo.
The rectangle has been extruded with 30 mm and the pattern with 1.5 mm. I used operation Join to join the pattern with the rectangle. I changed the appearance of the glass bottle. It was first grey and I gave it a glass look I smoky colour. I also fillet the pattern.
I gave the glass bottle a frame using Offset, which would be in silver metal. The frame is 3 mm thick. I extruded a little more than the actual glass bottle on both sides. The edges I Fillet with 2 mm.
The back of the bottle I extruded with 1.5 mm using operation Cut. Then I extruded it again with 1.5 mm and this time with operation New Body and changed the appearance in silver. I added the Bitcoin text and engraved it by extruding it with operation Cut.
For the top I sketched a 23 mm by 23 mm rectangle by clicking the upper top face of the bottle and extruded it. On top I sketched a circle which would be the perfume atomiser. Both the rectangle and circle I extruded and fillet the edges with 2 mm.
Here you see I created the perfume atomiser and the Bitcoin logo has been engraved on top of the perfume atomiser.
The last part was the bottle cap. I sketched a large sort of water drop/ leopard spot that matches the pattern on the glass bottle, extruded it and created a new body on top of it. The new body I changed the appearance in to black leather. The bitcoin logo has been copy pasted and scaled. The I placed the bitcoin logo on top of the cap and changed the appearance in to silver.
