If you're a cryptocurrency enthusiast, chances are that you would have come across an anonymous and viral prediction about Bitcoin from an anonymous 4chan wizard.
The self-acclaimed wizard declared that Bitcoin had bottomed on December 15th 2018 and went on to predict, at a time of great market uncertainties, that Bitcoin would hit $5.3k by April 2019. And he was right - Bitcoin smashed $5.3k in April from a low of $3.2k.
The next prediction which the unknown user put forward was for July 2019 in which he or she stated that Bitcoin would hit the $9.2k mark. Again, that record was smashed. Bitcoin did not only reach $9.2k as predicted, it hovered well over $12.5k.
And now the last Bitcoin prediction for 2019, according to the prodigious 4Chan user, is $16k which is expected to be seen in October 2019.
For most part of October, perhaps due to the disappointment trailing the launch of Bakkt in September, Bitcoin didn't give any room for optimism with its lacklustre performance until the last 48 hours that saw it making a parabolic movement from $7.4k to about $10.3k and now at $9.4 as at press time.
The truth is that a monthly high of about $10.3k is still quite far from the real target of $16k set by the self-proclaimed wizard. With about five days to the end of October, I believe that there is still enough room for Bitcoin to smash $16k or at least come reasonably close to that.
The trading volumes are skyrocketing and records are getting smashed. We should see the same movements in the price action over the next few days. Will the 4Chan wizard be outrightly wrong this time around or will be absolutely right again? Only time will tell but I will like to hear your thoughts in the comment section.
