The next time you see the price of Bitcoin rise sharply due to some "mysterious" buyer driving the markets up willy-nilly (supposedly), sit back, don't be an idiot
Nah, these massive surges often offer a very obvious trading opportunity. You can almost always sell intelligently and buy lower, increasing your volume.
Traders see the massive movers in the crypto space all the time. I often wonder who they are. There are people with insane amounts in the crypto space, trading all the time. When they turn off their bots, it's obvious. When they turn them on though...sometimes it can be a very frustrating day until you can learn to deal with however their insane bots run. These people with massive amounts in the market have tools to make purchases across the markets and do all sorts of crazy things. I seriously doubt it's any individual user...because you are talking about actions undertaken using hundreds of thousands of dollars at least, and often hundred of millions of dollars, or even billions. I don't know about this particular action...but with other things that I've watched happen live...I've had the tendency to think there are things like hedge funds trading billions in crypto. Perhaps it's banks. I dunno. Whoever it is, they play with money that can make or break large corporations like it's pocket change.
