This was broadcast on the UATV channel by Deputy Director of the Reform Strategy Department of the National Bank of Ukraine Ruslan Kravets. According to him, the regulator believes that the crypto currency is dangerous for the storage of personal funds of citizens of Ukraine, because its rate is unpredictable and has a strong volatility. "If we are talking about the storage of funds, I can say that it is dangerous: it is not regulated, exchange rates are incomprehensible and the volatility of this market is very high," Kravets explained. In addition, the official recalled that the legal status of crypto-currency in Ukraine has not yet been determined.
As was reported earlier, in order to develop a common position regarding the legal status of Bitcoin and its regulation, the National Bank intends to discuss these issues at the next meeting of the Financial Stability Board, which will be held at the end of August
