About BCH future, all is speculation. In my not too informed opinion I expect it to go down hard in the first two weeks. Much of the sentiment I've seen online is people wanting some free cash. They'll be looking to sell their BCH soon, and a drop in price will inspire others to sell too.
For the long term, it depends on whether BCH can carve out a niche where it is uniquely useful. We'll see about that, but I am not expecting too much based on the number of developers for the platform.
