Funny story, a couple months ago I invested $22.00 in bitcoin just to try it out (it was actually all money I made from steemit posts, so it literally cost me nothing beyond the time it takes to post on steemit). Today it is worth over $32.00. Of course, that's not a crazy amount of money, but had I invested a couple thousand, that would have been an increase of a thousand dollars.
Contrasting that, about five or six years ago I invested $80.00 and bought 100,000 Iraqi dinar (for those of you around conspiratorial circles back then, you probably remember what that was all about). Today my 100,000 dinar is worth about $84.00, so about a four dollar increase.
A four dollar increase from 80 dollars over five years compared against a ten dollar increase from 22 dollars over two months. Of course, these things are tricky and not always consistent, but I was thinking about that today after checking my financial investments and I thought that was kind of funny.
What's your investment story?
