The CEO of Twitter thinks Africa is going to define our future, and bitcoin's
Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter announced that he would be moving to Africa next year.
It wasn't clear exactly where or when, but Dorsey tweeted that he would be moving to Africa sometime in 2020 and living there for at least 3-6 months.
Why is he doing this you might be wondering?
According to him, Africa is going to define our future, and bitcoin's as well!
This was his quote:
"Sad to be leaving the continent…for now. Africa will define the future (especially the bitcoin one!). Not sure where yet, but I'll be living here for 3-6 months mid 2020."

Dorsey spends the last month in Africa
This announcement is coming on the heels of Dorsey spending the last month touring across Africa and meeting with different tech and blockchain entrepreneurs.
The tour included stops in Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa.
This is interesting considering many in the tech space have considered Africa an afterthought when it comes to marketing and building for the future.
Dorsey doesn't seem to think that way.
He's not the only one either.
Jack Ma was in Ethiopia last week as well setting up a new trade platform.
Perhaps this is why...
Lagos, Nigeria’s most populous city is tipped to become a giant metropolis of over 32 million people as soon as 2050. According to data from the World Economic Forum, it will be the most populous city in the world by 2100.
In total, by the next century, 13 of the top 20 global cities by population will be in Africa.

Jack Dorsey is an interesting character, but one that is a strong supporter of bitcoin. He said earlier this year that he thinks it will one day be the de facto currency of the internet.
Interesting to see what he has planned for Africa.
Stay informed my friends.
