Today is no ordinary day guys! Sure it is Halloween and that is definitely great for sure but today is also the 10 year anniversary of the Satoshi Nakamoto white paper! Happy birthday Satoshi!
Satoshi Nakamoto
Satoshi Nakamoto white paper is the greatest monetary invention and the greatest technological innovation since the Internet, in terms of its impact. That is how important this is. Bitcoin will have the same order of impacts as the transistors did in our life, according to many analysts. For instance, because the Blockchain was created, it inspired developers to create many useful Blockchain applications such as Ethereum or Steemit. For those who do not know, Steemit was created by the genius Dan Larimer, who is not the CTO of EOS.

I am not afraid to say that I am one of those people who heard about Bitcoin like very late. I believe I heard about it while watching sometimes at the beginning of the Fall last year. Since then, I kept on watching videos about Bitcoin and the Blockchain space and read Blockchain related books. In about a year I became a Bitcoin geek! Steemit also definitely helped me better understand the Blockchain technology. I also kept on reading about Austrian economics and I find it really fascinating. Bitcoin is a revolution for humanity, and I am glad that more and more people are working in the Blockchain industry. I watched
latest Texas Bitcoin conference, and definitely you can tell that something really huge is coming for the crypto industry. Besides more and more people are working in the crypto space (about 100 blockchain job searches per million) so it its definitely a growing field.
It does not matter that we don't know who Satoshi is
Yes, I truly believe that it does not matter that we do not know who Satoshi is. Think about it, there are plenty of technologies that the average person would not know who the inventor is. Plus it adds some kind of mystery or even myth to Bitcoin, which I think is not bad at all. It makes it even more unique. I know that Dr. Craig Wright, said that he was Satoshi, but I am not sure whether he is or not. He is definitely very smart though and cares about the Peer to Peer cash aspect of Bitcoin. We know people that have worked or communicated with Satoshi via email such as Gavin Andressen or Dan Larimer, and they all have his vision of freedom or peer to peer cash system. This is very good. Finally, I truly believe that in the future, Satoshi Nakamoto will be viewed as one of the greatest inventors in history.

If you say thank you to Satoshi you have to be thankful to the Cypherpunks
For those of who do not know, Bitcoin DNA inception was widely inspired by the Cypherpunks group. The Cypherpunks were a group of geek/activists who wanted more freedom on the internet by using cryptography. Just to give you some perspective, Julian Assange who founded Wikileaks is a well known Cypherpunk. I think it is important for anyone who is not familiar with cryptocurrency or blockchain to really understand that they were also created for everyone's freedom on the Internet.

Another well known Cypherpunk is Jacob Appelbaum, who directly worked on the TOR (The Onion Router) project. Appelbaum is currently a Ph.D student at the Eindhoven University of Technology.

Jeremie Zimmermann is also a well known French Cypherpunk who created "La quadrature du net" a citizen advocacy group defending fundamental freedoms online. For those who are more curious about the cypherpunks, I highly recommend this book: "Cypherpunks, Freedom and the future of the Internet by Julian Assange".

So once again, thank you Satoshi Nakamoto and Happy Birthday!
