According to the results of a survey conducted by the company LendEDU, it was concluded that the majority of young Americans who own Bitcoin, save these until that digital currency reaches $ 190,000. The objective of this survey was to determine the current sentiment and future expectations related to Bitcoin, it is worth noting that in this research work the market department of student and personal loans of the polling house intervened, where some 564 Native Americans were interviewed. The result found that average investors plan to sell their Bitcoin at the time it obtains a value of $ 193,165, which would be an approximate value of 24 times that which it currently has.
Interestingly, 40.78 percent of respondents said that cryptocurrency is a "technology that changes the world," while 21.81 percent sees Bitcoin as a long-term value deposit, such as gold or silver. Surprisingly, only 8.16 percent said they were using digital currency for transactions and purchases, rather than as an investment.
The survey also determined how long investors planned to hold their currencies. The report said:
"In our thinking, a short investment time horizon would be negative for Bitcoin's price. Alternatively, a long investment time horizon would be positive for the Bitcoin price. "
Only 16.49% of the interviewees indicated that they planned to keep their BTC for less than a year. 39.54% decided to keep their BTC for a time longer than 3 years, however 11.70% consider keeping their Bitcoin for a time not less than ten years. Only 32.62 percent of respondents have sold part of their Bitcoin since the investment; however, the majority, 67.38 percent, stated that they had not sold any since their first purchase.
This latest LendEDU survey comes at a time when Bitcoin is experiencing an increase in value. Over the weekend, the digital currency rose to $ 8,100 for the first time, recovering its way back from the previous weekend's low of $ 5,500. With renewed confidence in the market, it remains to be seen where it will arrive at the next stop.
