Who can answer these questions?

For a long while now, I've noticed something about cryptocurrencies especially SBD.
The price of SBD has been on its lowest low (currently about $1.37) since I got on Steemit. It has been hovering that value for the last 1 month.
Recently, I began to wonder what's really happening? What are the forces affecting this price that is making slide at that rate? Can something be done?

I NEED SOME TO EXPLAIN TO ME IN CLEAR TERMS, AND NOT ALL THESE TECHNICAL HORIFFYING TERMS.
