So, my bf recently placed out the idea that he wanted to start mining for bitcoins. He has a pretty decent PC set-up but he suggested that he needed to "upgrade" a little his equipment for better mining performance. Now, I have lurking around the idea to mine myself but my 2010 macbook will not do the job efficiently. What I want to know is, what is the best hardware/software equipment for this task? He's already up to a few microbits but would like to have a little more info about how to do better/faster.
Is it an expensive "job/hobby"?
