Roger Ver, Bitcoin Jesus or Scam Artist?
It's hard to swim in the waters of crypto without coming across the name Roger Ver.
Once ubiquitously loved by all within the crypto community for fervently proselytizing Bitcoin, ever since Bitcoin Cash (BCH) forked from Bitcoin Core (BTC) on November 1st 2017, Roger has vociferously come under attack and received many accusations.
Many hold Roger as the brainchild behind the creation of Bitcoin Cash, however, Bitcoin Cash is no more Rogers than it is any ones. The Bitcoin Cash client was released by Amaury Sechet, a staunch anarchist, in response to the 'Core Devs' of Bitcoin not increasing the blocksize. The entire purpose of Bitcoin is that it's open source and decentralized so that no one person has control. The Bitcoin Cash fork according to Roger caught him as off guard as everyone else.
Roger is entitled to his opinion if he thinks that Bitcoin Cash is the most legitimate version of Bitcoin (self evident to anyone that's actually read the whitepaper) and publicly advocating for it being so certainly doesn't qualify as fraud.
Judging someone on what the crowd is saying isn't a good way to assess the truth let alone the character of someone so in this video, I examine many of the arguments made against Roger Ver.
