I see it happen so many times. People confusingly use all kinds of electric measures to start comparing Bitcoin to whatever. Households, small countries, Visa's network.
Why is there so much confusion?
- People don't understand electricity
- They don't understand blocks
- Think a transaction is only one Bitcoin
- Don't know what mining does
Without any further reference it does a terrible job of visualizing how much power that is or where it comes from.
So, How do we make a comparison that people actually understand?
