we'll definitely will have to see alt-coins taking the lead because the stagnation in the bitcoin sphere with failing to scale. Current 3-5 tx/sec in bitcoin will not be able to serve for mass adoption. I personally like DASH as the alt-coin to be used as cash for everyday transactions.
