Saw this on Twitter and retweeted it. I know that this isn't a phishing attempt; the organization that owns example.com also owns xyz.example.com.
Be careful if you search Twitter for "binance" though -- there are several accounts which are cleverly-misspelled variations on Binance's account (binance_2017) which say "we're giving coins to our followers! Just send 0.025 BTC to this address, and we'll send 1 BTC in return!" I checked a couple addresses, and some people appear to have been fooled by these scammers. Sad.
But, Binance is back up! I'll also write a ticket for them, to let them know that their www.binance.com mapping doesn't seem to have been put back after whatever changes they had made.
But at least you can get back in through https://us.binance.com!
