Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Bitcoin's value increased again after the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) market announcement that will include digital currency as one of its commodities. CME is a Chicago-based stock exchange that is the most popular futures exchange in the US.
Bitcoin's current value touched US $ 6,400 or Rp 86 million (assuming an exchange rate of Rp 13,469 per US dollar) in trading last Tuesday. Chairman and CEO and CME Terry Duffy say he believes the inclusion of bitcoin as a traded commodity.
"With the increasing interest of clients on the growing cryptocurrency market, we have decided to introduce a bitcoin futures contract," Duffy said in an announcement.
