Here's the deal - John McAfee really stuck his "you know what" out there by predicting that one Bitcoin will reach one million dollars by 2020.
It's impossible, crazy, a BUBBLE...right? Maybe not. The interesting thing is that currently the Bitcoin price sits at around 8.6K with far less than 1% adoption. With the community support behind Bitcoin and the network effect (similar to the adoption of Facebook), could we be looking at a 5-10% adoption by 2020? It is most certainly possible. When you start really looking at the price of Bitcoin at those various adoption levels, I must admit that price begins appearing far-fetched. But with the finite and limited supply of Bitcoin and the worldwide demand for it, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
