Friday Night in Seoul, Korea with Roger Ver!!! - June 15th, 2018
Episode #7 features new faces of the BCH Gang: Welcome Jin and David to Roger Ver's Weekly Bitcoin Roundup show!
Roger discusses some important topics in the show. For example (though not limited to):
Keyport - BCH-Powered Encrypted Messaging platform. To learn more about Keyport please see: Newly Launched Keyport Platform Enables BCH-Powered Encrypted Messaging, by Jamie Redman (news.bitcoin.com)
The Bitcoin.org website got a facelift. Including, thought not limited to, the removal of links (and any reference to):
Coinbase.com, Blockchain.info, Bitpay.com
Rick Falkvinge (and his We Are All Satohsi youtube channel) is mentioned (he's published some very interesting bitcoin / cryptocurrency videos ). He's also the Founder of the Swedish Pirate Party.
Apparently there's some interference from the Korean government (and political pressure, and fear) when it comes to Korean citizens using cryptocurrency or exchanges operating in Korea.
Some good news from the Thailand Gov. - Bitcoin Cash is legal money! However, as Roger points out:
"Don't ask who's going to give you permission, ask who's going to stop you." (paraphrasing Ayn Rand, "The question isn't who is going to let me, it's who is going to stop me.")
Recently a credit card processor in the United States (USA) shut down payments to gun shops (apparently online and in-store). Old system payments (visa, masterday, bank cards) are being censored. Starting using Bitcoin (BCH)! (permissionless digital payments!)
The IMF (International Monetary Fund) indicated that cyptocurrencies are beginning to replace government issued fiat currencies: IMF Chief Envisages Large-Scale Shift Towards Cryptocurrencies, by Kevin Helms (news.bitcoin.com)
Coinnest exchange is adding Bitcoin Cash (BCH) base pairs!
The Bitcoin.com mining pool (pool.bitcoin.com) is now donating 0.5% of each block reward to Bitcoin ABC developers
Word of advice, if you're a proponent of free speech or 1st Amendment advocate you might want to stay away from r/bitcoin at reddit or the Bitcointalk.org forum.
