There are now two versions of Bitcoin Cash on the market: Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin SV. Each of them has a different version of the Bitcoin Cash blockchain. Currently there's a lot more mining power in Bitcoin ABC, but on the market Bitcoin SV is jumping up in value big time. Which one of these coins can be called 'the winner' remains to be seen.
A hard fork of the BCH blockchain has been implemented on November 15th. Each of the two versions follows a different vision for the future of the cryptocurrency, and each of these currencies as a 'colorful' spokesperson. Roger Ver is the face of Bitcoin Cash ABC, while Craig S. Wright - who claims to have invented Bitcoin - is the leading force behind Bitcoin Cash SV.
Bitcoin ABC is the version from the leading Bitcoin Cash development group, while Bitcoin SV rejects the changes that were made in ABC, restored old code from the original bitcoin protocol and increased its block size from 32 MB to 128 MB.
Investors who owned a certain amount of Bitcoin Cash, will now be able to claim the same amount in Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin SV. Claiming both coins is easiest when an investor had his coins stored on an exchange that supports the hard fork. These exchanges, including Binance, will automatically switch Bitcoin Cash for both Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin SV.
Miners seem to support Bitcoin ABC the most. The hash rate from that network are currently up to almost 9000 PH/s. That's more than double from the hash rate Bitcoin Cash was operating at. At the same time Bitcoin SV is mining with a total hash rate of just below 4000 PH/s.
On the trading market nothing is decided yet. Currently Bitcoin ABC is priced $297, which is up 1.85% since the coin came into existence less than 24 hours ago. Trading volume is now 1238 BTC, which makes it a top 10 coin in terms of trading volume on Binance.
Bitcoin SV is only $152, but the price jumped with 81%. At the same time trading volume is huge, with 3847 BTC in total. That's three times the amount of its direct competitor.
There doesn't have to be a winner as both coins can co-exist. But Craig S. Wright and Roger Ver have been having some interesting conversations. Let's just say that there two don't like each other. Hashing power and market value are both indicators for this popularity contest, and the market has not decided yet.
