Trading card game Synergy of Serra is organizing its pre-sale on Sunday August 2nd 2020. During the pre-sale there will be two types of crates, each containing six cards. Both the Base Set Crates and the Transcendent Set Crates are limited to 400 thousand crates, priced at a maximum of 2 dollars per crate. However, the prices of the crates increase as more of them have been sold.
Synergy of Serra is a trading card game with its crates and cards on the Ethereum blockchain. As soon as gamers have bought some Synergy of Serra crates during the pre-sale, they can sell these on the open market. Unpacking crates won't be possible until a special Crate Opening Event later this year.
Cards come in different rarities, ranging from common to legendary, and in different qualities, ranging from painted metal to gold. The rarity and quality will influence a card's value. This is something we've already seen with games like Gods Unchained and Splinterlands. Gamers interested in Synergy of Serra can sign-up for the pre-sale.
Synergy of Serra aimed at play-to-earn
Everybody who starts playing Synergy of Serra gets access to 90 cards to play with. The developers haven't locked any of the game's features and everybody can earn money by winning seasonal ranked games. Gameplay for Synergy of Serra is a bit different. Players need to load creatures onto the battlefield, equip them with attachments and then execute actions in order to win. The developers of Calystral call this in-game deck building.
Co-founder and developer Julian Sakowski emphasized that their deck building offers an unique take on the card game genre. Players can use both their own cards and their opponent's cards to build their deck. This mechanic will even allow for a battle royale mode with 100 players or more. When players use any card, it will ultimately improve the card's quality.
"Synergy of Serra shapes a new game genre, merging Deckbuilder Card Games with classic Strategy Card Game mechanics. Decks are not pre-constructed before a match but constructed within the match itself. Players need to come up with superior strategies and counter-tactics on the fly. This turns Synergy of Serra into a challenging Trading Card Game with infinite game experiences."
