마이너 그룹에서 코어와 segwit2x는 비등비등합니다. 많이 착각하는 것처럼 모든 마이너가 우지한을 돕는 것이 아닙니다. 게다가 F2Pool과 같이 segwit2x를 배신하는 마이너 역시 존재합니다. 그래서 현재 F2Pool이 비트메인과의 소송에 휘말린 것이구요.
마이너 그룹을 벗어나면 코어 측의 압승입니다. UASF 사례와 같이 풀 노드를 운영하는 유저들은 압도적으로 코어를 지지합니다.
회사는 제각각입니다. Bitpay와 같이 segwit2x를 지지하는 회사가 있는 반면, Bitwala와 같이 코어를 지지하는 회사가 있습니다. 다만, 회사는 서비스를 제공하기 때문에 기술력에 좌지우지될 확률이 높습니다. 코어의 기술력은 세계 최고입니다.
어떻게 흘러갈까?
Segwit2x 하드 포크가 발생할 수도 있고, 안 할 수도 있습니다. 발생하더라도 체인 분리가 발생할 수도 있고, 아닐 수도 있습니다.
최악의 상황을 가정해 보겠습니다. 하드 포크가 발생했고, 비트코인과 segwit2x의 체인으로 분리되었습니다. 어떻게 될까요? BCH 때와 같이 공짜 코인을 받기 위해서 사람들이 비트코인을 살 것입니다. 그리고 segwit2x 코인을 팔아치울 것입니다. BCH와 segwit2x 코인을 동시에 부양해야 할 비트메인 측만 골치 아플 것입니다.
11월을 두려워하지 마세요. 아직 갈 길이 멀답니다.
