Seeing the rise of Bitcoin's value this year, it's hard to understand why someone would lose confidence in this virtual currency.
But what potential investors may now be concerned is that one of Bitcoin's biggest supporters has already lost confidence in this currency.
Emil Oldenburg, co-founder of the Bitcoin.com website, has admitted that he is skeptical about the road to which virtual currency is going, reports Gazeta Express.
Oldenburg has even gone so far that it has sold all its bitcoins and has reinvested in Bitcoin Cash (BCH) because it believes this coin has a brighter future.
"I would say that investing now in Bitcoin is the most risky investment you can make. There is a great risk*."he said in an interview with the Swedish technology website Breakit.
"I sold all my Bitcoins and I went to Bitcoin Cash." he said. Two of Bitcoin's problems that Oldenburg has made to abandon it is high transaction costs and time of confirmations - with tariffs doubling every three months and with average transaction time up to 4.5 hours to be confirmed.
And there is only a limited amount of transactions that can be done per second in the Bitcoin network, Oldenburg says, which makes Bitcoin extremely dangerous.
He has said that as soon as Bitcoin owners see these problems, they will start selling them.
