Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, has been in a fight with Bitcoin recently, but today he is throwing in the towel. He wasn't keen to talk about bitcoin again today.
"I'm not going to talk about bitcoin anymore", said Dimon in response to a question during the bank's third-quarter earnings call with media today.
He said this shortly after Bitcoin reached a new record high. Probably not a coincidence. The bitcoin price breached the $5000 dollar resistance and hit an all-time high of $5,240 on Bitstamp today. Bitcoin is now up around 424 percent year-to-date. Pretty amazing!
Other positive news today is that support for the Segwit2X fork is going downhill. Mining pool F2Pool stopped signaling today and the Seoul Bitcoin community (the largest bitcoin community in South Korea) denounced the upcoming contentious hardfork in a statement.
