There is a bright light at the end of the dark tunnel for crypto users. Us crypto fans have been bombarded with disdain from naysayers, nonsupportive governments, and non-believers that don’t want crypto to succeed. But there is still a bright light at the end of the tunnel. Crypto is still pushing on through all of the doubt just like all survivors do. Even with countries like the US that have influential politicians like Brad Sherman proposing a ban on cryptocurrency and statements from the standing US President making public statements against crypto. The light at the end of the tunnel shines in countries such as Malta, and Puerto Rico that support and welcome cryptocurrency and people like us that are in favor of it. These two countries are becoming known as digital islands acting as safe havens where people in favor of digital lifestyles and crypto-use can live their lives free from oppressing laws from governments.
For instance, Malta has created an entire infrastructure dedicated to the use and support of cryptocurrency, so much so, that Malta has become a permanent home for crypto-based companies such as the largest exchange Binance and soon to follow the next largest exchange OKEx. San Juan Puerto Rico is home to San Juan Mercantile Bank & Trust the first financial bank that is dedicated to cryptocurrency; built around a platform that enables customers to trade, bank, and administer digital assets safely and securely. Puerto Rico is also home to Jose Santana who is known as the “Bitcoin Taxi Driver”. Jose Santana has built his entire taxi service around cryptocurrency accepting Bitcoin; as well as Ethereum and Litecoin as fare. Jose even has a VIP luxury fleet of “Bitcoin Taxi’s” dedicated to welcoming all of the luxurious clients that come to the island looking to launch crypto start-ups or relocate their crypto-based businesses and want to ride in style when they arrive on the island.
With places like Malta and Puerto Rico welcoming the crypto community and all that we bring. We can see the bright lights shining in the darkness reminding us that there are places of safety and freedom for us. Letting us know that even if the places that we currently call home don’t want to accept crypto or seek to make it hard for us to use there are still places that allow it without hassle. Friends the times are changing and the financial world is evolving one Satoshi at a time.
